Polska Grupa Energetyczna has purchased 28 photovoltaic projects from Mithra Energy

PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. has purchased 28 photovoltaic projects with the total capacity of 59 MW in the Wielkopolska and Łódzkie provinces. The estimated production - at a level of approximately 65 GWh - will be able to meet the electricity needs of more than 30,000 households. The power plants are scheduled to be activated between 2024 and 2025.

PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A., a PGE Group company, has purchased seven photovoltaic projects with the total capacity of 26 MW in the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces. The estimated production - at a level of nearly 29 GWh per year - will allow to satisfy the electricity demand of approximately 12,000 households. All power plants will be up and running by the end of the third quarter of 2023.

The project consists of seven wind turbines from German manufacturer Nordex, each with a capacity of 2.4 MW. The wind farm will be located in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, approximately 80 kilometres south-east of Poznań. All approvals and permits for the construction of the farm and its connection to the power grid have already been granted.

Amazon to deploy 170MW-plus of new PV via ventures in Spain, US and Australia

Amazon revealed it is to develop its first renewable facility in Australia, a 60MW installation towards the north of the state of New South Wales. The group’s Australian green energy debut is meant to go live in 2021, after which point it should generate 142GWh of solar electricity every year.

Canadian Solar signs PPA with Amazon for its 146 MWp Gunnedah solar PV farm in Australia

The solar power will be supplied from Canadian Solar’s 146 MWp/110 MWac Gunnedah solar farm, which will reach commercial operation by 2021. The agreement with Amazon is Canadian Solar’s first PPA in New South Wales and marks its strategic entry into the large Australian Consumer and Industrial (“C&I”) PPA market.

All six of the renewable energy projects acquired by R.Power Renewables in 2019 are currently at the operational stage and have the total capacity of 6 MW.

Photon Energy sells 25% stake in NSW solar project to Canadian Solar

Canadian Solar has acquired another 25% share in the 189 MWp Suntop Solar Farm from Photon Energy and increased its stake to 76%. The balance of shares is held by Sydney-based Polpo Investment. The $262 million Suntop Solar Farm is part of the codevelopment deal between Photon Energy and Canadian Solar sealed last year.

Aldi joins the solar roll-out with Photon Energy Engineering Australia

Solar power company Photon Energy Engineering Australia is rolling out installations across 30 stores and a distribution centre for the Aldi supermarket chain New South Wales and Queensland. The total project capacity is 4.6 MW and will allow Aldi to convert its shops into solar power generators capable of providing a significant portion of their daily energy consumption.

Canadian Solar joins Photon Energy for five NSW solar projects

International developer Canadian Solar has struck a deal to buy a majority stake in five large mid-stage solar power projects planned for NSW. Canadian Solar will own five projects together with Photon Energy, which has developed four of them in partnership with a privately owned company, Polpo Investments.
